In a business breakfast format, members of the "Mantashyants" Business Club met with Vahe Hovhannisyan, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia, as well as Deputy Ministers Arman Poghosyan and Avag Avanesyan.
During the meeting, Vahram Mirakyan, co-founder and president of the club, underscored the importance of dialogue between the state and the private sector. He emphasized that an effective management model requires both business and government to utilize appropriate dialogue mechanisms to foster cooperation toward the overarching goal of building a strong state.
Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan provided an overview of the Ministry of Finance’s activities and stressed the significance of business involvement. He highlighted the need for businesses to feel assured that their tax contributions are used to enhance working conditions and support the business environment.
Budgeting was also discussed, with a focus on ensuring that financial resources are spent in a way that maximizes benefits to the state and supports its strategic priorities.
Hovhannisyan also addressed the issue of trust between businesses and the government, noting that the club's role is to help the state identify trustworthy businesses, thereby aiding in the maintenance of good governance practices.
At the conclusion of the meeting, club members had the opportunity to engage in a question-and-answer session with the ministry representatives, addressing their concerns directly.
